Da Kitchen’s menu reads like a definitive guide to Hawaiian comfort food, showcasing everything from signature Fried Spam Musubi to the quintessential Loco Moco Plate. Guests rave about the fried Spam Musubi, perfectly crisp on the outside with a harmonious balance of savory pork and sticky rice inside—truly a must-try that captures the spirit of local island fare. For those craving traditional plate lunches, selections like the Kalua Pork Plate offer juicy, tender pork that bursts with smoky richness, seasoned so well that no additional sauce is needed, as one satisfied diner noted.
The Loco Moco here is a delightful rendition—grilled homemade beef burger topped with eggs and smothered in brown gravy—that comforts and fills you up, though some patrons find it more than just good, not quite extraordinary. Meanwhile, the Garlic Noodles with Teriyaki Chicken and Korean Fried Chicken deliver a punch of savory, sweet, and tangy flavors that linger memorably on the palate.
Diners are also spoiled for choice with the Bento Combos, which allow them to savor a little bit of everything—from teriyaki chicken and beef to shrimp tempura and Spam Musubi—perfect for those eager to indulge in the depth of Hawaiian plate lunch culture. The Firecracker Katsu and Garlic Shrimp showcase the kitchen’s skill in elevating simple ingredients into dishes bursting with layers of flavor and texture.

It’s a place where locals and visitors alike come together to share plates and stories in a welcoming setting. Whether dining in or taking food to-go, the quality and passion evident in each bite make every meal feel like a genuine island celebration.
Dessert is not to be overlooked, with the Guava Cheesecake slice earning enthusiastic nods from patrons who love its perfect balance of sweet and tart, avoiding cloying sweetness while providing a refreshing finale to a substantial meal.
Reviews consistently reflect the kitchen’s dedication to deliciousness and authenticity. Melissa M cherishes the pork’s juiciness and superior flavor, while Shane Torres delighted in nostalgic dishes like Lau Lau and Kalua Pig that evoke family luau memories from decades past. Chelsea Woodmansee’s praise captures the kitchen’s essence perfectly, from the flavorful, tender meats to the uniquely savory musubi, a testament to both meticulous preparation and genuine love for Hawaiian cuisine.
In sum, Da Kitchen stands out as one of Maui’s finest stops to indulge in traditional Hawaiian plate lunches and Asian-inspired dishes. Food was delicious. Everyone was very nice and my meal was gluten and dairy free. The pork was excellent. No sauce needed. It had great flavor and was juicy.
Exactly what I was looking for! We're visiting from California. I have been craving Lau lau which is hard to find in Cali, but Da Kitchen nail it! I wanted a little of everything that reminded me of hanging at random weddings while my Dad and grandpa hosted Luau's back in the 70's. All on one fork, pork lau lau, kalua pig & rice then big spoon of poi! OMG broke da mouf!!! Mac salad was so ono as well. Great job Da Kitchen!
Loco Moco was good but not great. Standouts were the fried spam musubi and the guava cheesecake (a must-order. Not overly sweet). Prices for portion size were good. My husband and I split the Loco Moco and had leftovers.
One of the best places to eat in Maui. We came in a Tuesday for lunch and the inside was packed so we ordered to-go and ate outside. Every single bite of every item on our plate was perfection. The Musubi was heavy on the nori flavor, which I love, but my husband doesn’t so I mostly got to have that all to myself. The meats were tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Many weeks later and we’re still talking about how this is one of the best meals we ate. On our Maui go-to list now forever! Oh, and the staff were all so freaking nice!!
